Her design experience includes remedial grading, analysis and mitigation of liquefaction potential, settlement analysis, design of shallow and deep foundations, pavement analysis, design of reinforced earth retaining structures, and large hillside grading design. Annamarie serves all aspects of the project specializing in field exploration, analysis, and design, technical report preparation, geotechnical and SWPPP consultation during construction, and project management.
From a young age, I enjoyed working outside, building things, and learning how things work. My first geotechnical engineering class at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, was another very memorable part of my engineering journey.
I have really enjoyed working on projects where we are providing all our service lines. Working with our team on the design and construction aspects of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, water resources engineering, and environmental engineering creates an opportunity for our team to optimize engineering design solutions. And then, when moving into construction, we are onsite providing engineering observation and testing while continuing to focus on these various design components. I have also been lucky to work closely with our clients and teaming partners on large residential development projects, such as Faria Preserve in San Ramon, CA, and Newhall Ranch in Valencia, CA. On these larger projects, we are meeting weekly, even daily, to discuss design and construction over several years. We really get to know each other as a team and work to find the best engineering solutions.
ENGEO has an incredibly unique culture, and it shows in all aspects how we approach each other, our clients, and our work. I started with ENGEO as an intern during my last two years of college and since then, people here at ENGEO have supported me to learn, grow, and take chances.
Stephen Fallon, PE | Senior Engineer | San Ramon
Stephen is a civil/environmental engineer and project manager with over 15 years of experience in the field and office. He has experience in project managing, field sampling, and directing remediation work. He has extensive experience with various sampling equipment and methodologies. His areas of expertise include sampling methodologies and equipment, remediation equipment and methodologies, and project and site management. He has over 7 years of experience with site remediation using dual-phase extraction systems, air sparging, in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) injections, and field sampling and analysis. He currently manages large long-term remediation projects.
I have always liked working with my hands and solving problems. I’ve also always liked understanding how things work and how to make them work better.
I worked on a really complicated and large remediation project in Hawaii (the former Gasco Manufactured Gas Plant facility) where I learned a ton about how to remediate difficult sites. The ENGEO State Parks work has been really rewarding. California Forever is an inspiring and interesting project. Finally, working on former military (Alameda Point, Concord Naval Weapons Station, etc.) bases and landfill sites (Baylands Landfill) have been a real challenge.
I enjoy forming relationships with clients and improving the internal systems that we use to serve our staff and clients. ENGEO has always given me their trust and allowed me to be one of the leaders on the environmental team. I also had the opportunity to go to New Zealand and form friendships with the folks over there.
