On November 25 the 2021 Westpac Champion Canterbury Business Award winners were announced.
The team at ENGEO was ecstatic to be the Westpac Champion Canterbury winner of the 2Degrees Champion Workplace Award 2021! The 2degrees Champion Workplace Award recognises businesses committed to the health and wellbeing of their organisation, building an environment for their employees to succeed, and in doing so creating a positive impact on engagement, culture and the performance of the organisation.
At ENGEO, we live by the phrase “culture eats strategy for breakfast”. The best strategy is to have an amazing culture where people are happy and challenged. Once you have that, everything else falls into place. It is humbling to be in a category with other amazing organisations that are continually striving to create awesome workplaces. Congratulations to Home and Trimble Inc. on being finalists.
About the Awards – Celebrating the best of Canterbury Business
The Westpac Champion Business Awards recognise and celebrate the excellence, innovation, and success of businesses and charities in the Canterbury Region. The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce is proud to have celebrated Canterbury business excellence, innovation and success for over 16 years. Over that time they have hosted over 15,000 attendees, acknowledged 650 finalists, and celebrated 240 winners.
The awards are a 6 month journey starting with nominations and entries, that culminates with one amazing night that showcases and celebrates Canterbury’s best emerging and established enterprises, however in 2021 the awards night was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. As the largest and most prestigious regional awards ceremony in New Zealand, they continually attract over 1200 attendees to the awards ceremony and engage with so many more in the lead up to the night.
The Westpac Champion Business Awards are seen as the crème da la crème of Business Awards across New Zealand, and the bench mark for others to aspire. The Awards region is defined by the Canterbury Regional Council boundaries, which includes nine District Councils and the Christchurch City Council.
